About this event
The Forbes House Museum in Milton, MA welcomes historian Trent Taylor to discuss the “Irish Donation of 1676,” when Ireland sent humanitarian relief to starving New Englanders suffering from a bad winter. That largess was reciprocated in 1847, when Captain Robert Forbes of Milton brought 800 tons of food, clothing and medical supplies from Boston to Cork during the height of the Irish Famine.
