About this event

Intermediate Nosework will take place at Theodore Parker Church in West Roxbury, MA on recurring Monday evenings (11/9 - 12/14) for 6 sessions. Each session will be 50 minutes long and be held between 6:00 and 6:50 pm.

Prerequisite for this course is Intro to Odor (Level 3) please contact me if you need the prerequisite or have questions. This course needs a minimum of 4 students in attendance to run, start date will be postponed to accommodate.

K9 Nose Work is a fun activity for dogs of all ages, sizes, and levels of physical ability. The activity gives your dog the opportunity to use and develop their natural ability to detect odor. This course is a continuation of Intro to K9 Nose Work and Beyond Intro. Dogs will continue their journey, building on the "find another" cue, independent searching, and push to source.

For this class, each dog will have time in the building or exterior spaces alone to help build confidence and independence, which means the other dogs in the course will be outside or contained while a dog is working. There will be an informational email after registration that will go over logistics, safety, considerations for all weather conditions, and frequently asked questions.

This class will take place indoors and outdoors. Each family group will be limited to two handlers maximum per dog, class is limited to 6 dogs total to accommodate.

Intermediate Nosework is taught by Aubrey Sperry, CDBC, CNWI, CPDT-KA.
