On Saturday, November 21, the Needham Bank Great Hall Concert Series will feature Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone, whose classic hits range from “I’m Henry VIII, I Am” to “Mrs, Brown, You’ve Got a Lovely Daughter”. The performance will take place at 7:30 pm in the historic Powers Hall at the Needham Town Hall.
Born in Manchester, England, Noone is a multi-talented entertainer who has been delighting audiences nearly all his life. At 15, he achieved fame as Herman’s Hermits’ lead singer. His classic hits included “I’m Into Something Good”, “There’s a Kind of Hush”, and “Wonderful World”. Ultimately, Herman’s Hermits sold over 60 million recordings, and 14 singles and seven albums went gold.
Noone has performed, composed songs and produced recordings with such artists as David Bowie and Debby Boone, starred on Broadway in The Pirates of Penzance, played the title role in Hallmark Hall of Fame’s presentation of Pinocchio, and taken on the recurring role of Paddington in the CBS daytime drama, As the World Turns.
