- ➤ Local repair technician Joe Deignan (owner of I-FIX-IT 2) advised residents to test and maintain their snowblowers ahead of this weekend's heavy snowstorm by starting them early to expose stale fuel and clogged carburetors and to change oil and fill tanks. MetroWest Daily News

- ➤ After a five-year break, the Joe Val Bluegrass Festival returns to Framingham on the weekend of Feb. 12-15, featuring continuous bluegrass music, workshops, and a headlining performance by the Del McCoury Band on Feb. 15 (tickets are selling fast). MetroWest Daily News

- ➤ Eileen Davis, a Framingham leader who founded Call2Talk for suicide prevention, was promoted to CEO of Mass211 on Jan. 1. She previously served as vice president and expanded vital services statewide. MetroWest Daily News
- ➤ Gov. Healey announced a Winter Storm Warning as heavy snowfall and cold temperatures are expected from Sunday morning through Monday evening. Non-emergency state employees will work remotely on Monday while the Framingham Emergency Operations Center prepares for power outages & hazardous driving conditions. MetroWest Daily News
