- ➤ Registration for Framingham Parks & Recreation spring and summer programs opened for residents on Feb. 2 while nonresidents can enroll starting Feb. 9; programs run from April through August and include seven new recreational, enrichment, and wellness activities (registration is available online or at the Parks & Recreation office). - ➤ Three new restaurant concepts are planned to open in Framingham this spring at Cochituate Road, Trolley Square, and a former Halal Grill space, while Tavern in the Square opened Feb. 3 in Bellingham at 249 Hartford Ave — a plaza shared with Whole Foods and Chili's. MetroWest Daily News

- ➤ Framingham is enforcing a temporary parking ban on Bridges Street, Bridges Street Extension, Clifford Street, Coburn Street, Hilton Street, Naples Street & Saucier Street today from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to aid snow removal and road widening; residents should use off-street parking to avoid tickets & towing. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Five residents from the assisted living facility at 10 Green Way were hospitalized yesterday after showing symptoms of norovirus—health officials in Wayland and aid from Framingham and Sudbury responded and began notifying other local care facilities as the investigation continues. - ➤ Broomstones Curling Club in Wayland — the largest of seven dedicated curling facilities with over 400 members — had several athletes compete in the U.S. Olympic Trials ahead of the Winter Olympics in Italy. MetroWest Daily News
- ➤ Hopkinton indoor track & field athlete Addie Morrissey earned last week’s title with over 8,700 votes, and a new list of nominees for Daily News Girls Athlete of the Week has been released with voting open until Sunday, Feb. 8 at 6 p.m. MetroWest Daily News
