- ➤ On Jan. 29, Framingham State hosted its third annual MLK Commemoration Lecture and Beacon Awards, honoring four community members including senior Laila Jenkins and professors Ishara Mills-Henry and Cara Pina. - ➤ A survey by Framingham State’s independent student newspaper revealed student frustration with textbook pricing and bookstore selections. University officials may review the findings to address these concerns next semester. The Gatepost
- ➤ Colleen Previte, the special collections librarian at Framingham State, is preserving the school's heritage by archiving over 2,000 artifacts and publications (including Peirce’s globe and the rare 1917 yearbook) for future research on education. The Gatepost

- ➤ Framingham is now accepting applications for its Microenterprise Assistance Program, which will award 10 grants of $7,200 to eligible local small businesses (preference is for first-time applicants). - ➤ The Framingham State Rams rallied to beat the Westfield State Owls 77-66 on Jan. 31, lifting their record to 11-8 overall and 4-4 in conference play. They will host the Salem State Vikings tomorrow. The Gatepost
- ➤ On Jan. 31, the Framingham State Rams lost to the Rivier University Raiders 5-2, dropping their conference record to 2-6; the team is set to face the Worcester State Lancers today in a conference matchup. The Gatepost
- ➤ The Framingham State Rams beat Westfield State Owls 80-75 on Jan. 31, improving their MASCAC record to 6-2 and overall to 10-9. They will host Salem State Vikings on Feb. 7 while sophomore Faith Greene earned Player of the Week on Feb. 2. The Gatepost
