BUSINESS NEWS

  • TJX Companies, based in Framingham, hit an all-time high during Wednesday’s intraday trading after posting strong fourth-quarter sales and profits, boosting its quarterly dividend by 13% and planning a stock buyback, although it lowered its earnings forecast for the next quarter.  MetroWest Daily News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The City of Framingham will enforce a temporary parking ban on multiple streets, including Arlington Street and Frederick Street, Thursday and Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Residents are urged to use off-street parking to avoid ticketing and towing.  City of Framingham
  • Framingham DPW is moving snow to its state property dump on Route 9 after Monday's blizzard while Ashland and Hopkinton face storage shortages; the city will deploy an excavator Wednesday night to reshape the pile for the rest of winter.  MetroWest Daily News
  • Most MBTA lines returned to a normal weekday schedule Wednesday, Feb. 25 after the blizzard, though the Fall River/New Bedford line continued on a modified schedule as crews cleared snow and ice + riders were advised to use caution on slippery platforms.  MetroWest Daily News
  • Framingham’s Public Health Division will temporarily move to the Memorial Building on March 2 due to construction at its Concord Street offices. The six month relocation will keep services running in two rooms so residents can still access care.  MetroWest Daily News
