Framingham will host a drive-thru medication disposal event for National Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot of the Memorial Building at 150 Concord Street; the city, in collaboration with the Health Department, Medical Reserve Corps and Police Department, will accept unused or expired prescription and over-the-counter medications plus will not accept items like needles, sharps, thermometers or inhalers.

Runners from MetroWest and Greater Milford will compete in the 129th Boston Marathon on April 21, with about 30,000 participants starting in Hopkinton for the 26.2-mile race.

Local qualifiers include athletes from Framingham along with competitors from Natick, Wellesley, and other communities — athletes aged 18 to 78.
