- ➤ Gas prices in Massachusetts dropped last week to an average of $2.88 per gallon of regular fuel, down from $2.92 per gallon, and were about 9.1% lower than the national level as reported by the U.S. Energy Information Administration. MetroWest Daily News

- ➤ On March 26, the Framingham School Committee reviewed FPS’s school budget request of $186.6M—nearly $5M above the city’s proposed $181.6M. School leaders will analyze the figures further before sending the proposal to Mayor Sisitsky and the City Council before May. The Frame
- ➤ On Tuesday, April 8, the Framingham City Council Finance Subcommittee approved seven projects recommended by the Community Preservation Committee to use CPA funds for housing, parks & historic sites. - ➤ Road closures will affect eight towns during the Boston Marathon on Monday as Framingham will fully block vehicular access on Waverly Street/Rt. 135 from 8:45 a.m. to 2 p.m.—city officials noted that some businesses may still operate in the area. MetroWest Daily News

- ➤ Framingham residents can safely dispose of unused and expired medications on April 26 during National Drug Take Back Day at the Memorial Building parking lot (150 Concord St.) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. as the local Public Health, Medical Reserve Corps and Police Department lead the effort to promote proper disposal and protect the environment.
