- ➤ Framingham residents will attend Shred Fest 2025 on Saturday, May 10 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Recycling Drop-Off Center at 255 Mount Wayte Ave—where they can safely shred personal documents and donate nonperishable food or gently used clothing if they do not have a valid recycling center permit. - ➤ A report by the Institute for Policy Studies released on April 28 said that the number of millionaires in Massachusetts grew from about 440,000 in 2022 to more than 612,000 in 2024 with their total wealth rising from $1.6 trillion to $2.2 trillion and the number of ultrarich increasing by 35% from 1,954 to 2,642. The state collected $2.2 billion from the Fair Share Amendment surtax on incomes above $1 million and used the funds for public higher education and transportation projects+the report noted that most high net worth individuals remained in the state.
