HEALTH NEWS

  • The Massachusetts Department of Public Health ruled that Framingham Union Hospital’s current maternity services are necessary following a public hearing on April 9, as Tenet Healthcare proposed reducing the service level from a Level IIB Special Care Nursery to a Level I Well Baby Nursery. Tenet must submit a plan by May 9 (15 days from the decision) to either keep existing services or shift to a Level IB nursery while addressing staffing and emergency care concerns.  MetroWest Daily News
