- ➤ Karen Read’s trial continued in Dedham as her defense argued that the marks on John O’Keefe’s arm were caused by dog bites from Chloe—the German Shepherd now living on a Vermont farm—to challenge the claim that Read struck him with her SUV, with expert testimony set to further test the prosecution’s account. - ➤ The Bay State Motor Festival, part of Framingham 325th Anniversary programs, will be held on June 8 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. + it takes place at Cushing Memorial Park. The free event will feature over 150 vehicles, including Rolls Royce cars, Indian Motorcycles, and rare machines + visitors can also speak with restorers to learn about the city's 100 years of automotive innovation. - ➤ Framingham Knights of Columbus Council #87 is offering the Joseph Fedolfi Memorial Scholarship for $1,000 to students furthering their education—only Knights or their close family members in good standing may apply, and applicants must plan to attend an accredited school. - ➤ The Framingham Traffic Commission recommended creating a traffic department within the Department of Public Works on Tuesday, April 22 — the new group would include a director, traffic engineer and administrative assistant and incorporate the Framingham Lighting and Signals Division while traffic enforcement stays with the police — and the proposal now goes to City Council for final approval.
