- ➤ Thirteen high school athletes showcased strong performances over the weekend (May 1–3) in track, lacrosse, baseball, and softball at several local venues. Record-setting jumps, key home runs, and crucial plays sparked competitive games that energized the local sports scene. MetroWest Daily News
- ➤ On May 2, Bumila delivered a strong performance for Bishop Feehan, pitching five innings of shutout baseball against Wellesley and hitting two home runs in the 14-0 win (his first hit allowed this spring). The team will play Boston English on Wednesday, May 6 at 4 p.m. MetroWest Daily News
- ➤ Local high school athletes are competing in the Daily News Boys Athlete of the Week Poll for April 27 to May 3; residents can vote until noon Monday, May 11 following Jack Finocchario’s win for April 20 to 26.
