- ➤ Solomon Pond Mall on Donald Lynch Boulevard in Marlborough will add several new tenants in 2025—including a children’s attraction called Slime Zone where kids will create their own slime with various toppings and other shops scheduled to open from June to September. MetroWest Daily News
- ➤ L.L. Bean will open a new retail store at 84 Worcester Road in Framingham this fall after investing more than $2 million to renovate the adjacent space that formerly housed The Fresh Market on Route 9. This 12th Massachusetts outlet will offer a sales floor, fitting rooms and restrooms—joining other local outdoor retailers in the area. MetroWest Daily News

- ➤ Amanda Rotondo released her first book, Place Names in Boston and Beyond: Tongue Twisted Town Tales, which gathers 40 quirky stories about Massachusetts history including unusual town names and wild local adventures. - ➤ Summit Montessori School in Framingham named Kira Donnelly its new head of school, effective July 1. Donnelly brings over 30 years of education experience from her work in Minnesota, California and Japan and follows retiring Martha Torrence who led the school for 13 years. MetroWest Daily News

- ➤ Remote Area Medical will hold a free two-day clinic on Aug 2-3 at Keefe Regional Technical School at 750 Winter St in Framingham — it offers dental, vision and medical care for those in need. The Framingham Department of Public Health needs volunteers for medical support, interpreter roles and general help to set up on Aug 1 and take down on Aug 2 — even those without medical training can help.
