- ➤ TD Bank announced it will close 38 branches nationwide on June 5—including its branch in Framingham—and six of those closures will affect local customers. A spokesperson said the decision comes from regular reviews to better match store locations with customer needs. MetroWest Daily News

- ➤ Massachusetts officials are asking the public to send in designs for a new state seal after critics say the current one is racist because of its Native American figure and sword-holding arm. Proposals must be submitted online until June 18 and will be reviewed at public hearings before final recommendations are made to the governor by July 29 — a plan that could reshape state symbols.
