  • The MIAA Football Committee approved a new Super 8 tournament format on May 14 to adjust playoff schedules for high school football in 2027, a plan that Xaverian coach Al Fornaro criticized for sidelining top Catholic Conference teams+ the proposal awaits review on May 20.  MetroWest Daily News
  • The MIAA Football Committee voted May 14 in favor of adding an elite Super 8 tournament division for high school football that will begin in 2027. The vote is part of broader plans to refine playoff fields (the proposal still needs final committee approval).  MetroWest Daily News
