Framingham Veterans Council will host a ceremony to honor the 81st Anniversary of D-Day at Veterans Memorial Park — 638 Concord Street — on June 6 at 3 p.m., with presentations, the presentation of colors, and speeches honoring Allied forces in World War II.

Saint Bridget School has announced a 5K and Food Truck Festival scheduled for Saturday, June 7th at 8:00am at 832 Worcester Road in Framingham.

The event will feature an adult race plus a children’s fun run, bounce house and games, raffles and awards, and food trucks serving local eats.

Moody’s Investors Service reaffirmed Framingham’s Aa2 credit rating with a stable outlook because the city’s strong and diverse economy—supported by above-average resident incomes and robust unused tax levy capacity—keeps its finances steady.

Today the City of Framingham Parks and Recreation and the Greater Framingham Running Club launch the Wednesday Night Summer Family Track Meets at Bowditch Field—registration opens at 5:30 p.m. with events starting at 6:00 p.m. and continuing weekly until August 13 with no meet on July 2. Participants of all ages can join for $1 per week or $8 for a season pass while competing in various running and field events to earn ribbons.
