- ➤ Big Bounce America will come to Wrentham on June 14–15 and again on June 21–22 at the Wrentham Developmental Center, where guests can enjoy the 24,000 square foot World’s Largest Bounce House, a 900+ ft obstacle course called The Giant, Sport Slam arena, space-themed airSPACE, and the new OctoBlast foam party. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A Framingham man, Scott Hayes, was placed on pretrial probation on June 4 in Newton District Court for shooting Caleb Gannon during a pro-Israel rally last September. Hayes must meet probation conditions (avoiding the victim, completing an online civil discourse course, and seeking employment) until Sept. 13 to keep his case from going to trial. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The City of Framingham Public Works began a sidewalk project at Salem End Road and High Street on May 28—Newport Construction Corp. is installing ADA-compliant ramps and new sidewalk segments with work from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays, and traffic shifts will affect commuters. The project is expected to last two to three weeks. MetroWest Daily News
- ➤ Framingham City Council is seeking residents and organizational representatives to join the Worker Protection Advisory Committee, which reviews wage theft complaints and advises on labor law enforcement—applicants must submit forms by June 30 at 11:59 p.m. The committee will meet monthly and elect officers to manage responses and coordinate with state agencies. - ➤ Mayor Charlie Sisitsky announced on June 4th that Edward Ted Cosgrove, the ZBA vice chair, was nominated to the Planning Board as Kristina Johnson will be nominated to the Zoning Board. The nominations will be submitted this month—subject to City Council approval—as Framingham updates its planning leadership. City of Framingham
