- ➤ Middleboro optician Lauren Downey said she has faced harassment over her license plate "FRAMED" after supporters linked it to Karen Read’s retrial for the death of Boston Police Officer John O’Keefe in January 2022. She reported cars speeding past her and her car being keyed and said she hopes the plate will return to its original meaning when the trial concludes. MetroWest Daily News

- ➤ On Tuesday, June 17th, the Framingham City Council learned that police will expand their body camera program and the fire department is challenged by a 20% rise in calls and limited staffing. - ➤ On June 17 the Department of Public Health announced that mosquitoes trapped in Shrewsbury tested positive for West Nile virus after a sample was collected on June 13—experts said there are no human cases yet and urged residents to use EPA-registered repellent, wear long clothing, drain standing water, and repair screens.
