  • Chick-fil-A will open over a dozen new restaurants in Massachusetts from 2025 until the end of 2027 — expanding its presence in the Boston area, Central, Western and Southeastern parts of the state. A location opened in May at Highland Commons in Hudson — and future sites are planned in Danvers, Foxborough, Worcester, East Springfield, West Springfield, Dartmouth and Somerset, which will push the total beyond 21.  MetroWest Daily News

HEALTH NEWS

  • Framingham officials closed Lake Waushakum Beach for swimming after tests found high E. coli levels and warned residents not to ingest its water. Officials conducted further water testing on June 25—while Saxonville Beach and Learned Pond remain open for recreation.  MetroWest Daily News
  • Metrowest Medical Center's emergency room is ready for anyone hurt during summer activities like biking, skateboarding, and pool use as doctor Lisa Sotir says minor injuries can be handled at home but signs of head bumps, broken bones, burns or insect stings need immediate care+ anyone with serious symptoms should visit the ER right away.  Framingham Source
