Massachusetts lawmakers proposed two bills to remove religious exemptions for K-12 vaccines in response to rising exemption numbers and public health risks.
The proposals, filed by state Rep. Andres Vargas and state Sen. Edward J. Kennedy, would require all schools to report immunization totals annually—supporters say this change will help counter vaccine misinformation.
Tomorrow at 6 p.m., the City of Framingham will hold a brief disability flag raising ceremony outside the Memorial Building at 150 Concord Street to mark the third year of the event for Disability Awareness Month — ADA Coordinator David Correia will raise the flag designed by local resident Rob Levine. A community event featuring a film screening and discussion will follow on July 21 at the main branch of the Framingham Public Library.
