- ➤ The licensing board approved Atlantic Poke to open a new restaurant at Shoppers World in Framingham that will serve poke bowls, miso soup and milk tea. The eatery at 1 Worcester Road is set to open by early September — it will operate daily from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. MetroWest Daily News

- ➤ MassBay Community College and Framingham High School have teamed up for a three-week automotive technology boot camp for 25 rising high school juniors and seniors; the program—funded by a grant—started on July 7 and will run four days a week until July 24, offering students a $1,500 stipend and a chance for an internship at McGovern Automotive Group. - ➤ Framingham was recognized on July 9 for meeting the MBTA Communities Law — its approved zoning now supports more multi-family housing and transit-oriented growth.
