- ➤ The City of Framingham will hold its second annual Purple Heart Ceremony on August 7 at the Memorial Building with an 8 a.m. breakfast and 9 a.m. tribute to honor local Purple Heart recipients and Gold Star families. Eligible applicants must apply online by July 31 at 11:59 p.m. and those honored in 2023 are not eligible (please note this restriction). City of Framingham
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Thomas Lee of Weston and recent Wayland High graduate Alexander Dremov finished third in the Men’s Youth Pair division at the USRowing Youth National Championships in Sarasota, Florida last month + the duo, competing for the third time at Nationals, said their result met a long-held goal of earning a medal. - ➤ The 2025 Daily News Fans Boys Volleyball Player of the Year poll includes 15 candidates who earned final four trophies, league MVP honors and state semifinalist recognition — with four from Marlborough, three from Natick and three from Milford — and votes remain open until noon Monday, July 21.
