Good morning, Framingham. Here's your local news at a glance for Wednesday, the 16th of July.

COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Community members in Framingham will honor the legacy of the late John Lewis with a rally on Centre Common on July 20 from 3-4:30 p.m. The event, part of the Good Trouble Lives On campaign, features speeches by local leaders—Rev. EDUCATION NEWS

  • Lawmakers are proposing two bills to delay school start times—H.647 would set middle schools to start at 8 a.m. and high schools at 8:30 a.m., while S.360 would shift them to 8:30 a.m. and 9 a.m.—to help tired students get more sleep, with changes planned for the 2028 school year. Some school districts, like Newton, have already made changes as surveys show many students feel exhausted in the morning.  MetroWest Daily News
