- ➤ A pickleball tournament held on July 14 at the Bosse facility in Natick Mall raised over $25,000 for Make-A-Wish Massachusetts + Rhode Island, with 20 teams competing in the inaugural event. MetroWest Daily News

- ➤ A 17-year-old boy was rescued from Learned Pond on July 20 when no lifeguards were on duty—he was flown from MetroWest Medical Center to a Boston hospital—and his condition remains unknown. MetroWest Daily News

- ➤ A WalletHub study named Massachusetts the best school system in the nation and it beat the second-place state by over six points based on test scores, dropout rates, and safety measures— the state also ranked first in 2023 and 2024. MetroWest Daily News

- ➤ Due to construction at the Natick Center MBTA station, commuter rail service from Framingham to Boston will not run on Saturday, July 26 and Sunday, July 27 as free shuttle buses replace the trains. Four shuttle routes will connect riders to stops including South Station — serving as one key stop — and Back Bay while accessibility upgrades continue until later this summer. MetroWest Daily News
- ➤ The City of Framingham is seeking community members for its 7-member Disability Commission to advise on ADA compliance and disability inclusion. Volunteers must apply by Sunday, August 3rd at 11:59 p.m.—the Mayor will review submissions and nominate candidates for City Council approval. City of Framingham
- ➤ Massachusetts lawmakers are considering bills that would ban the sale of tobacco and nicotine products to anyone born on or after Jan. 1—rules that will phase out sales as these individuals turn 21 in 2027. - ➤ The East Middlesex Mosquito Control Project will spray Zenivex E4 today between sunset and 11:30 p.m.—spraying will take place along several local roads and residents are advised to go indoors and close windows while the spray dissipates. City of Framingham
