  • A driver suffered life-threatening injuries in a rollover crash on the Mass Pike on Monday morning, July 28, near the Route 30 interchange on the Framingham-Natick line — police closed the highway for several hours while the motorist was taken to a Boston hospital.  MetroWest Daily News

  • Massachusetts newspapers under USA TODAY Network invite readers to vote on 32 iconic local food brands in a single-elimination contest—choices include ice creams, cookies and classic treats. Voting begins Tuesday at 4 a.m. and ends Sunday at 11:59 p.m.—a contest that highlights the Bay State’s culinary heritage.  MetroWest Daily News

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Framingham’s fifth annual Youth Police Academy opened on July 28th at Loring Arena where cadets lined up for instructions from police officials. The event featured hands-on training led by Sgt.   • Kennedy Community Health in Framingham has partnered with Mass General Brigham Health Plan to bring dermatology services to underserved areas in MetroWest using telehealth—this program, funded by a multiyear grant, has already provided 204 consultations.
