GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • A Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court ruling clarified that if a healthy, well-maintained tree falls during a storm, its owner is not liable, but if the tree is unhealthy and falls, the owner must cover the damages—this decision stemmed from a neighbor dispute and only allows homeowners to trim tree parts that cross their property line.  MetroWest Daily News
