- ➤ The city's Parks and Recreation Department will host a Friday Night Concert and 14th Annual Movie Night at Bowditch Field Athletic + Cultural Complex on Union Avenue on August 15, with live music by The Hip Swayers from 6 to 8 p.m. and a screening of the animated film Home, along with a sensory-friendly tent, refreshments, and local vendor activities. - ➤ Today, the City of Framingham’s DPW will begin trench paving on Edgell Road for utility work—crews will pave today and Tuesday, August 12th before switching to manhole sealing on Wednesday, August 13th and Thursday, August 14th. Police will manage traffic flow during normal business hours as drivers are advised to use alternate routes. City of Framingham
- ➤ The City of Framingham and the Friends of the Callahan Center will dedicate the multipurpose room at the Callahan Center on Union Avenue in honor of the late Mark Goldman on Tuesday, August 26 with a reception at 9 a.m. and a ceremony at 10 a.m. City of Framingham
- ➤ The East Middlesex Mosquito Control Project will spray aerosols in Framingham tomorrow between sunset and 11:30 p.m. to reduce mosquitoes after tests found West Nile Virus, targeting areas south of Waverly Street near Fay Road, Bethany Road, Winthrop Street, Hollis Street, Irving Street, Bates Road & additional roads. - ➤ The City of Framingham’s Water & Wastewater Division will install new water valves at the Maple Street and Barber Road intersection on Thursday, August 14 at 8 p.m.—Maple Street will have one lane with alternating traffic while police guide drivers safely. City of Framingham

- ➤ Target sold Favorite Day Bakery Frosted Sugar Cookies that are being recalled because they may contain wood, a foreign substance that could cause mild health issues. The recall was issued on July 22 by Give and Go Prepared Foods Corp.—803 cases are affected across Washington D.C. and 20 states including Massachusetts. MetroWest Daily News
