- ➤ Sandra Montesino resigned as executive director of Daniel’s Table on August 18 after over a decade of service—two other directors have also left as co-founder David Blais is set to lead the nonprofit into its next phase with a new building planned. MetroWest Daily News

- ➤ Pop Mart will open its first official store in Massachusetts soon at Natick Mall, where new signage appears in a space once occupied by jewelry stores – making it easier for fans to buy Labubu dolls. - ➤ Massachusetts State Police warned residents of a fake trooper scam after 100 suspicious calls were reported on Aug. 18, with callers falsely claiming victims' identities were misused and urging them to contact Shanghai Police + the FBI advised hanging up and reporting the calls immediately. - ➤ Framingham leaders urged Keefe Regional Technical School to work with the city after reviewing plans for a new building and a feasibility study that will effectively cost $800,000 following a $1.2 million reimbursement; the study review took place on August 19th. Some councilors said they wish the school had bonded the expense since the project could become the town’s largest capital venture—officials promised further collaboration on the plan. The Frame

- ➤ On August 19, the City Council tabled a plan to create a Traffic Department under the Department of Public Works—some council members said the idea had not changed since May and wasted time, while Mayor Sisitsky supported it and police planned to keep traffic enforcement with the current setup.
