- ➤ MetroWest YMCA hosted Welcoming Week events that began on Sept. 12 and will run through Sept. 21 in Framingham and Hopkinton to celebrate community belonging with free programs and special membership offers. Key events include a readathon at the Framingham Branch on Sept. 13 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., a Bookmobile on Sept. 16 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and an Outdoor Center open house in Hopkinton on Sept. 18 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. — free week passes are available for adults and join fees are waived for new members until Sept. 15.
