- ➤ The FSU Planetarium will host Spooky Skies on Oct. 24 (with showings at 4PM and 6PM) as part of a Halloween event featuring eerie objects in the night sky and methods used by astronomers to find Earth-like planets. - ➤ The City of Framingham is seeking volunteers for its Human Relations Commission to address bias and discrimination while filling two vacant seats and reappointing members whose terms expired. - ➤ The City of Framingham will host its 5th Annual Indigenous People’s Day event Monday, October 13 from 12 to 2 p.m. at the Downtown Common—an historic Indigenous burial ground—where Mayor Sisitsky will present a proclamation and invite food donations. - ➤ Dr. William Wiener, a 93-year-old former chief of neurology, received life-changing brain surgery at MetroWest Medical Center after being diagnosed with normal pressure hydrocephalus—now he walks with a walker and no longer struggles with incontinence.
