  • The Fresh Market confirmed that its Framingham store—opened in December 2024—will close once current inventory sells at a 25% off sale. The closure follows a review of its portfolio and comes as the chain plans to expand into new markets soon.  MetroWest Daily News
  • Amazon will hire over 5,500 seasonal workers in Massachusetts for the upcoming holiday season, with openings in Boston, Worcester, and other areas statewide. HEALTH NEWS

  • MetroWest Medical Center opened its new Women’s Wellness Center today with a ribbon cutting at 61 Lincoln Street, Suite 101 — next to Framingham Union Hospital.   • The Daily News Girls Athlete of the Week Poll is open for votes for October 14-20 with 20 athletes nominated across sports — including candidates from field hockey, volleyball and soccer— as voters choose a standout following last week’s win by Algonquin runner Kyra Brossi, who received 33.17% of over 50,000 votes.
