- ➤ Framingham is accepting volunteer applications for four seats on the Cushing Memorial Chapel Advisory Committee that advises on the Chapel's care and use in Cushing Park; applications must include a resume or cover letter and are due by Sunday, November 30 at 11:59 p.m.—the Mayor will review submissions before sending nominations to the City Council. SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The MIAA released boys and girls soccer brackets on Saturday for the state tournament in five divisions with MetroWest and Greater Milford teams seeded high. Games begin today and some teams may play Sunday if both athletic directors agree. MetroWest Daily News
- ➤ Jack McDonald from Holliston was named Week 8 High School Football Player of the Week after throwing for 185 yards and scoring two touchdowns, earning 28% of more than 600 votes—voters can now choose from 13 nominees for Week 9, including Framingham’s Nic Duarte, as the poll remains open until playoffs begin at 6 p.m. Friday. - ➤ The MIAA released the 2025 high school football tournament brackets on Sunday showing that a dozen MetroWest & Milford teams have qualified, including Framingham set to face No. 1 St Johns Prep. Reigning champion Hudson will defend its title as the No. 5 seed by hosting No. 12 Bellingham, and opening round games will begin no earlier than Thursday. MetroWest Daily News
