  • Outside Framingham State’s Danforth Art Museum, a set of bright pink Conversation Chairs is on display to spark dialogue among neighbors and inspire drawings—Art School Director Noelle Fournier said the project combines art with community outreach.  The Frame

ECONOMY NEWS

  • A Consumers’ Checkbook report found that Market Basket has the lowest grocery prices in Massachusetts—its prices are 15% below most stores—while Wegmans earns high marks for quality with 81% of customers rating it superior. The study compared prices using a 150-item list and customer surveys.  MetroWest Daily News

SPORTS NEWS

  • Six high school soccer players shined in Thursday’s playoffs quarterfinals as Luke Dougherty scored an overtime winner for Natick, Jack Keane kept a clean sheet for Keefe Tech, and Nate Rutkowski posted a shutout for Hopedale — while girls stars Emilia Sousa, Lily Strong, and Cate Tengler made key plays in their games.  MetroWest Daily News
  • Central Catholic beat Natick 20—17 in overtime during the Division 1 quarterfinal game at Memorial Field, and raised the Final Four trophy before moving on to face St. John's Prep in the state semifinals. Natick struggled to keep pace as a missed field goal in regulation led to a tight contest that could not be overcome.  MetroWest Daily News
  • Last week, 122 high school football teams competed in the MIAA playoffs and now 64 teams remain after all Elite 8 games produced wins across eight divisions. The semifinal schedule offers more games—today, the Division 8 matchup between No. 7 Lee and No. 8 Cathedral kicks off at 5:30 p.m. in the Berkshires.  MetroWest Daily News
