- ➤ Framingham invites residents to vote online in the 2025 Holiday Window Decorating Contest from Dec. 11 through Dec. 18. Residents can visit downtown storefronts on Concord Street, Union Avenue and Hollis Street to see festive displays before Mayor Sisitsky honors winners on Dec. 19 at 10:00 a.m. City of Framingham
- ➤ City officials presented survey results for a new Community Center in the former Marian High School, showing nearly 900 locals support arts, fitness, and event programming. Construction on essential repairs, including new windows and roofing funded by $6.48 million in ARPA funds, is progressing and plans will reflect residents’ input. City of Framingham

- ➤ Massachusetts unemployment claims increased from 5,013 to 8,403 for the week ending Dec. 6, according to the Labor Department. The state saw its figures rise amid a national jump to 236,000 jobless filings. MetroWest Daily News

- ➤ New data shows Framingham apartment rents hit a median of $2,608 in November—down 6% from last year's $2,770 but 3% above October's $2,525—while one-bedroom prices remain unchanged and two-bedrooms rise slightly among the 152 listings analyzed by Zumper. MetroWest Daily News
