➤ Applications for the Framingham Youth Council are open until Jan. 31 for all 13 seats, including one from each district + two at-large and two mayor appointments. Eligible applicants aged 13 to 22 can serve as advisors in local government and attend monthly meetings. MetroWest Daily News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

➤ City officials announced holiday building hours and trash pickup changes. The Memorial Building will be open Wednesday, Dec. 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. — the library closes on Wednesday and remains closed on Christmas; trash collection follows a delayed schedule.
