  • Mayor Charlie Sisitsky announced that parking meters along Concord Street, Hollis Street, and Union Avenue will be free through Jan. 2 to boost holiday shopping. Motorists should follow posted rules (time limits, fire lanes, and accessibility) while using the waiver.  MetroWest Daily News

LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • On Christmas Eve (Dec. 24), NORAD and Google tracked Santa’s journey as Framingham residents watched live maps and played holiday games, with the tracker estimating his arrival after children had gone to bed. The system used high-tech methods (including radars and satellites) to follow his global route.  MetroWest Daily News

  • In November, Middlesex County homes were listed at a median price of $856,000, down 4.3% from October and 9.9% from last November; 984 new listings indicate that properties took a median (45) days on the market.  MetroWest Daily News
