- ➤ Mayor Charlie Sisitsky announced that parking meters along Concord Street, Hollis Street, and Union Avenue will be free through Jan. 2 to boost holiday shopping. Motorists should follow posted rules (time limits, fire lanes, and accessibility) while using the waiver. MetroWest Daily News

- ➤ On Christmas Eve (Dec. 24), NORAD and Google tracked Santa’s journey as Framingham residents watched live maps and played holiday games, with the tracker estimating his arrival after children had gone to bed.
