Kids Wheel: "Try-It"

PLEASE NOTE: Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Check the date and time before booking as Two Tails will not be able to change your ticket date after purchasing. Check availability under "Quantity" to see how many tickets remain in the class.

AGES 8-12

Please bring your child ~5 minutes before the scheduled class time to fill out information and get them settled. This is a DROP-OFF class, and Two Tails reserves the right to remove any disruptive participants from class. *If your child will require extra accommodation, please email us directly.

ABOUT THE CLASS:

This Try-It class for children will allow them to get their hands in some clay and try out the pottery wheel. This is a very basic beginners class where we go over the steps to make a simple pot on the pottery wheel. Each participant will have 2 balls of clay to work with and may choose one of their pieces for firing, glazing, and glaze firing. If anyone wishes to keep the second piece, it will be an additional $15 due in studio the day of the class.

AFTER THE CLASS:

Wheel pieces need time to dry and before our studio can bisque fire them. Fired pieces will be ready TWO WEEKS from the day of the class. Kids may return two weeks or after during normal studio hours to glaze their wheel pieces WITH a parent present. Leave the glazed piece with us to go through one more firing. The final piece will be ready ONE WEEK from the day it was glazed.

THINGS TO NOTE:

-Pottery is MESSY! Clothes will get clay on them, but it is all washable! We provide an apron for each participant.

-We will NOT call you when the piece has been fired and is ready to paint.

-We will hold the piece for one month before giving a reminder to come paint the piece.

-We will ONLY hold the piece for TWO MONTHS.

This class will only run with 2 or more participants. If Two Tails does not have enough sign-ups before the class begins, the class will be cancelled and any necessary refunds will be made.

This class is only open to children who are between the ages of 8-12 years old.
