GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Framingham will host a drive-thru medication disposal event for National Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot of the Memorial Building at 150 Concord Street; the city, in collaboration with the Health Department, Medical Reserve Corps and Police Department, will accept unused or expired prescription and over-the-counter medications plus will not accept items like needles, sharps, thermometers or inhalers. SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Runners from MetroWest and Greater Milford will compete in the 129th Boston Marathon on April 21, with about 30,000 participants starting in Hopkinton for the 26.2-mile race. Local qualifiers include athletes from Framingham along with competitors from Natick, Wellesley, and other communities — athletes aged 18 to 78. MetroWest Daily News
