🏘️ Community
The Cummings Foundation awarded over $2.5 million in grants to 11 MetroWest nonprofits including two Framingham groups (the Learning Center for the Deaf and Literacy Unlimited Foundation) as part of its $30 million program.
Winners were celebrated at an event in Woburn with community leaders speaking, and new funding guidelines will be posted in mid-July.
Jenna Yazdani, an Eagle Scout candidate, will host a bootcamp fundraiser at CrossFit TILT in Sudbury on Sunday, July 27—this event will raise funds to build a storage shed for SMILE Mass adaptive equipment.
The free event, with a $25 suggested donation, boosts her service project goal as she works to complete her $2,500 target.
🏛️ Government
The City of Framingham is seeking residents to volunteer on its five-member Parks — Recreation Commission, and current members are encouraged to reapply though reappointment is not guaranteed.
Two seats with terms ending in June have a three-year term, and the deadline to apply is Tuesday, July 15 at 11:59 p.m.—the Mayor will review nominations before sending them to the City Council.

Data from Realtor.com showed that median home prices in Middlesex County in April increased to $825,000 from $730,000 in March — a 13% rise, with single-family homes reaching $898,350 and condos and townhomes climbing to $671,500.
The data came with a slight delay, reflecting a steady trend in the local housing market.
🏈 Sports
The Daily News is holding a vote for the 2025 Boys Tennis Player of the Year where top players from eight schools have won MVPs, league titles & raised Final Four trophies.
Hopkinton & Westborough lead with three selections each, and voting will close at noon on July 16.
