  • MetroWest YMCA hosted Welcoming Week events that began on Sept. 12 and will run through Sept. 21 in Framingham and Hopkinton to celebrate community belonging with free programs and special membership offers. Key events include a readathon at the Framingham Branch on Sept. 13 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., a Bookmobile on Sept. 16 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and an Outdoor Center open house in Hopkinton on Sept. 18 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. — free week passes are available for adults and join fees are waived for new members until Sept. 15.  Framingham Source

  • DoorDash has launched DoorDash Streaks, a rewards program that lets Framingham residents earn up to $100 in credits when they order groceries or other items on Saturdays until November 15.   • Framingham Public Schools placed a staff member on leave after a Sept. 11 social media post celebrating the death of Charlie Kirk—an action taken under strict online rules. Superintendent Tremblay said he could not provide more details due to personnel policies.  MetroWest Daily News

  • Massachusetts residents should stay alert as over 12,000 coyotes roam urban, suburban, and rural areas—experts recommend keeping pet food indoors and using noise or water sprays to scare the animals if they get too close.
